These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all ticket purchases, bookings, hire services, and event planning services provided by QWERKY Events (“QWERKY”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By purchasing a ticket, paying a deposit, making a booking, or attending an event, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not proceed with your booking.
1. Contract Formation
1.1 The contract for attendance at a QWERKY event is between you and UK Social Events Limited, regardless of whether tickets are purchased directly from our website or via a third-party ticketing platform.
1.2 Where tickets are purchased via third-party platforms (including but not limited to Eventbrite or other resellers), their platform terms apply to payment processing only. These Terms govern your attendance and booking.
1.3 A legally binding contract is formed when:
-
Full payment is received; or
-
A deposit is paid (where applicable).
2.Age Restrictions
2.1 Unless stated otherwise, events are strictly 18+.
2.2 Valid government-issued photo ID may be required.
2.3 Failure to provide valid ID may result in refusal of entry without refund.
3. Ticket Sales & Refund Policy
3.1 All tickets are non-refundable except where required by law.
3.2 QWERKY events are leisure services provided on a specific date. In accordance with Regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, ticket purchases are exempt from the statutory 14-day cooling-off period.
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable except in the event of cancellation or material change by the organiser.
3.3 Refunds will not be issued for:
-
Illness
-
Travel disruption
-
Personal circumstances
-
Late arrival or non-attendance
-
Change of mind
3.4 Booking fees and third-party platform fees represent payment processing, administrative and platform costs that are incurred immediately upon purchase and are non-refundable in the event of customer cancellation or non-attendance. In the event that QWERKY cancels the event in full, a refund of the ticket face value will be issued. Booking fees will only be refunded where required by law or where the third-party platform refunds such fees to us.
4. Event Changes
4.1 QWERKY Events reserves the right to make reasonable changes to an event where necessary due to operational, logistical, safety, licensing, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include changes to:
-
Event start time (by up to four (4) hours on the same calendar date)
-
Performer line-up
-
Running order, format or structure
-
Venue location within the same town or city
-
All such changes shall not constitute cancellation of the event and shall not entitle the ticket holder to a refund, provided the event remains substantially the same in overall character and experience.
4.2 Performer substitutions or line-up changes do not constitute event cancellation.
4.3 Minor changes will not entitle customers to a refund.
5. Event Cancellation by QWERKY
5.1 If QWERKY Events cancels an event in its entirety and the event is not rescheduled, ticket holders will be offered, at QWERKY’s discretion:
-
A transfer to a future QWERKY event of equivalent value; or
-
A refund of the ticket face value paid.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.
5.2 If an event is postponed or rescheduled to a new date:
-
Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
-
No automatic refunds will be issued.
If a ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled date, they must notify QWERKY within 14 days of the announcement to request a refund of the ticket face value. Failure to request a refund within this period will be deemed acceptance of the new date.
5.3 Booking fees, transaction fees and third-party platform charges represent payment processing and administrative costs incurred at the time of purchase and are non-refundable except where required by law or where refunded to QWERKY by the relevant ticketing platform.
5.4 If part of the event is cancelled, delayed, substituted or modified (including performer changes or schedule adjustments), this shall not constitute cancellation of the event as a whole and shall not entitle ticket holders to a refund, provided the event proceeds in substantially the same overall format and character.
5.5 QWERKY shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from cancellation or rescheduling, including but not limited to:
-
Travel costs
-
Accommodation costs
-
Loss of earnings
-
Other personal expenses
Ticket holders are advised to obtain appropriate insurance where necessary.
6. Force Majeure
6.1 QWERKY shall not be liable where an event is postponed, relocated or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
-
Extreme weather
-
Government restrictions
-
Public health measures
-
Venue closure outside our control
-
Performer illness
-
National emergencies
-
Strikes or industrial action
-
Utility failures
6.2 In such circumstances, we may reschedule the event or issue credit for a future event.
6.3 Refunds will only be provided where legally required.
7. Group Bookings & Lead Booker Responsibility
7.1 The person making the booking (“Lead Booker”) accepts responsibility for:
-
All tickets within the booking
-
Payment of all balances
-
Compliance with these Terms by all members of their party
7.2 Reductions in group size do not reduce the total amount payable.
7.3 The Lead Booker remains liable for full payment even if members of the party fail to attend.
8. Deposits & Balance Payments
8.1 All bookings are subject to a booking and/or processing fee.
- Where tickets are purchased via a third-party ticketing platform, booking and processing fees are charged by and payable to that platform in accordance with its own terms and conditions.
- Where bookings are made directly with QWERKY, a booking and/or administrative fee may be charged to cover:
-
Payment processing charges
-
Platform or merchant fees
-
Staffing allocation
-
Administrative handling
-
Operational and event planning costs
Booking and processing fees are incurred immediately upon purchase and are non-refundable except where required by law. QWERKY Events is not responsible for the refund policies, service charges or administrative fees of third-party ticketing providers.
8.2 All deposits are strictly non-refundable. A deposit secures event capacity, venue allocation, staffing, performer commitments, supplier arrangements and administrative time. Upon receipt of a deposit:
-
The relevant date and capacity are reserved exclusively for the client;
-
QWERKY Events may decline other bookings for that date;
-
Third-party services may be contracted in reliance on the booking.
The deposit represents a reasonable and proportionate contribution towards the losses QWERKY would incur in the event of cancellation and is not a penalty. Deposits are earned upon receipt and are not conditional upon the event proceeding.
8.3 The remaining balance must be paid in cleared funds no later than:
-
30 days prior to ticketed group events;
-
14 days prior to private hire or planning services.
Time for payment is of the essence.
8.4 If any balance remains unpaid after the due date, QWERKY Events reserves the right, without liability, to:
-
Suspend performance of services;
-
Cancel the booking;
-
Retain all payments made (including the deposit);
-
Resell the date and/or capacity;
-
Recover any outstanding balance as a contractual debt;
-
Recover reasonable administrative and legal costs associated with recovery.
Cancellation due to non-payment shall be treated as cancellation by the client.
8.5 If the client cancels the booking, cancellation charges shall apply as follows:
-
Cancellation more than 3 months before the event date: full refund of payments made, excluding booking and processing fees.
-
Cancellation between 1 and 3 months before the event date: 50% of the total contracted amount shall remain payable.
-
Cancellation less than 30 days before the event date: 100% of the total contracted amount shall remain payable.
These charges reflect a reasonable and proportionate estimate of the losses QWERKY is likely to incur, including venue reservation, staffing allocation, performer commitments and administrative costs.
The deposit shall be applied toward any cancellation charge due. No reduction shall be made for non-attendance or reduced guest numbers unless expressly agreed in writing. QWERKY reserves the right to recover any unpaid balance as a contractual debt.
8.6 Late Payment & Interest
QWERKY reserves the right to charge statutory interest on overdue amounts in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, together with reasonable debt recovery costs.
Interest shall accrue daily from the due date until payment is made in full.
9. Alcohol & Licensing
9.1 Alcohol service is subject to the Licensing Act 2003, mandatory licensing conditions, and venue policy at all times.
9.2 Certain events may be described as “bottomless” or similar; however, alcohol is provided strictly in accordance with a fair use policy and responsible service obligations. “Bottomless” does not mean unlimited or unrestricted supply. Alcohol will only be served:
-
Within the specified time window for the event;
-
In accordance with licensing law;
-
At the reasonable discretion of QWERKY and/or venue management and serving staff.
9.3 We and/or venue staff may refuse, suspend or limit alcohol service to any person who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour is unsafe, disorderly, or in breach of venue rules or licensing conditions.
9.4 Refusal, suspension or limitation of alcohol service does not entitle you to a refund.
9.5 Guests are expected to drink responsibly. Excessive consumption, sharing of drinks, or behaviour that risks the venue’s licence or the safety of others will not be tolerated. QWERKY reserves the right to remove any guest from the event without refund where necessary to comply with licensing or safety obligations.
10. Conduct & Removal
10.1 QWERKY operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:

11.1 Hire bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
11.2 Customers are responsible for loss or damage to hired equipment.
11.3 Replacement or repair costs will be invoiced and payable immediately.
11.4 Weather does not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
12. Event Planning Services
12.1 Once confirmed, planning services are non-cancellable.
12.2 Full payment remains due regardless of changes in personal circumstances.
12.3 QWERKY is not liable for third-party supplier failures.
13. Media & Intellectual Property
13.1 Events may be photographed or filmed.
13.2 By attending, you consent to your image being used for promotional purposes.

14. Limitation of Liability
14.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
-
Fraud

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded
14.2 Subject to this, QWERKY’s total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you.

Travel or accommodation costs
-
Loss, theft or damage to personal property
-
Indirect or consequential losses
15. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
15.1 By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge the no-refund policy.
15.2 Initiating a chargeback without valid legal grounds may result in recovery of associated administrative costs.
15.3 We reserve the right to refuse future bookings where payment disputes are raised in bad faith.
16. Personal Property
Attendees are responsible for their own belongings. QWERKY accepts no responsibility for loss or theft.
17. Amendments
